Dr. Mustafa Nadhim Owaid, Director of the Iraqi Mushroom and Truffle Platform (IQMT), has participated as a co-editor in a new international academic book published by Springer titled Mushroom Production, in collaboration with distinguished scholars from the University of Malaya (Universiti Malaya), Malaysia.

The book is scheduled for release in April 2026, with Springer listing the hardcover and eBook publication date as 05 May 2026. The volume provides an up-to-date overview of modern approaches in mushroom cultivation and related biotechnological innovations.
